Why should I hire Chasse Home Maintenance and Repair, Inc.?

The expression "Light Remodeling" is an industry standard, and means a construction job that is smaller than a home addition or a project involving major structural changes. Our Light Remodel Service is for the homeowner who wants to "spruce up" a room, but does not necessarily want to completely gut and start from scratch.
What is "Home Watch Services"? Home Watch Service is an umbrella term used to include all ongoing home maintenance and repair services. Within this category, CHMR offers HomeWatch, which is a periodic detailed inspection of a vacant home (due to vacation or extended absence), and HomeTendering, which is a seasonal maintenance program for home owners who don't have the time, resources or desire to worry about the upkeep of their home
So how much is this going to cost me?! Our rates vary, based on the complexity and duration of the project or service.
How do I know I can trust you in my home? CHMR is fully licensed and insured, so you can be confident that we have the credentials to perform the work, and the credibility to back it up. Perhaps more importantly, we understand that our reputation is everything. We carefully screen all applicants, and enforce a strict code of conduct for our employees, both for appearance and behavior on the job.
Do you offer any kind of guarantee or warranty? We guarantee our work for one year from the completion date of the project. If something happens over which we have no control, during the work or during the guarantee period, we will work with you to find a solution that best meets your needs. We guarantee that we will perform all services to the best of our ability. We will work with you throughout the planning and implementation of your project and be available to answer question, discuss solutions, and if necessary make changes. Should something unexpected occur, we will work with you to resolve any concerns or issues to your satisfaction.
What kinds of problems should concern me when I leave my home for an extended period of time? It's a little known fact that most damage to vacant homes is caused by water and pests, and not break ins. A small leak from a faucet that's left for 3 months can turn into a big problem. Pest, both insects and rodents, can come into your empty home, and left unchecked will settle in and invite all their little friends to come and stay.
Why should I consider HomeWatch services? Do you know that most damage to empty property does not come from break-in or burglary? You may be surprised to learn that most damage is caused by water and pests, and the damage is something that often goes unseen without a detailed inspection. Our HomeWatch service protects your home from lingering problems that would otherwise go undetected. We conduct a thorough inspection of your home at routine intervals, looking for signs of problems. We report back to you the result of the visit, and if something requires attention, we can take care of it for you. You can relax knowing that someone is watching over your home while you're away.
Please note, our HomeWatch service does not include pet sitting.
While this may seem like an odd question, we do get asked this with some frequency. Some companies require that you cage you pet, or put Fido in the basement. Not much fun for man's best friend. At CHMR we like our services to be as unobtrusive as possible, so as long as Fido doesn't interfere with the work or try to bite us, he's welcome to stay. So the answer is yes. We love pets, we have several of our own.
Will the price change from the estimate to the invoice? Unless something unexpected happens or the customer requests a change, then the price will not change from the estimate to the invoice. We try to estimate our jobs as accurately as possible, but sometimes things do come up that are not anticipated. For example, we were replacing a fascia board on a house and upon removal of the old board we found hidden rot and insect damage. This was not visible when the area was assessed for the estimate and was not taken into account for the time and materials necessary to complete the work. We consulted the homeowner about the issue, presented options for resolution, and reached a mutually acceptable solution.
Are you going to make a mess?! Sometimes the work being performed requires that the work area be a bit messy at times, but you have our guarantee that the mess will not spill over into any other areas, and when we are finished we will return the area to its original state. Also, we always wear shoe covers, to prevent tracking anything through your home.
